Jonathan Groff's A New Brain to Release Cast Album
Miss (or didn’t get enough of) Jonathan Groff and more in William Finn and James Lapine's A New Brain at Encores! off-Center this summer? Well, never fear, PS Classics is set to release a recording of the through-composed show in its entirety for the first time. The album, which is scheduled to drop on February 5, 2016, will also feature Aaron Lazar, Dan Fogler and Ana Gasteyer. We can’t wait to step into their minds on demand!
Witch’s Night Out Musical In The Works
Witch’s Night Out, a 1978 animated special that featured the vocal talents of Catherine O’Hara and Gilda Radner, is heading to the stage. According to Variety, the rights have been picked up by TV composer Jim Dooley, who is aiming to transform the property into an off-Broadway sized Halloween-themed tuner alongside director Rye Mullis.

We have our first sneak peek, below, of Andy Karl in his recurring role on NBC's Law & Order: SVU! The two-time Tony nominee plays Sergeant Mike Dodds, the son of Deputy Chief William Dodds, who is played by none other than his recent On the Twentieth Century co-star Peter Gallagher. Karl will next be seen on the boards opposite Megan Hilty in Annie Get Your Gun at New York City Center.
Kristin Chenoweth Sings for the New York Mets*
Speaking of On the Twentieth Century co-stars, Kristin Chenoweth, Karl and Gallagher's leading lady in the recent revival, belted out the National Anthem before the first game of the National League Championship Series on October 17.
