It was the tale of two screen icons on Broadway this week. Al Pacino made his eagerly anticipated return to the Great White Way in David Mamet's China Doll with impressive results. The production joined the million dollar club in just six preview performances, bringing in $1,072,111 at 100.47% capacity, the third most packed house on the Main Stem. Bruce Willis also began his run in Misery, which garnered an extremely respectable $622,949 at 97.86% capacity in a mere four preview performances. Meanwhile, five perennial favorites topped the charts: The Lion King, Wicked, Aladdin, Hamilton and The Book of Mormon. On the other end of the spectrum we bid farewell to the short-lived Amazing Grace, which ended its run with a disappointing $476,631 and the week's third lowest capacity overall, at 68.41%.
