Les Miserables Star Chris McCarrell on His Five-Year Plan, Geeky Secret and the TV Show He Binges On Into the Night

Hometown: “I grew up south of Cleveland. Went to college west of Cleveland. I’m an all-around Clevelander."

Current Role: After first playing student revolutionary Joly, McCarrell has now moved up to the role of lovesick Marius in the Broadway revival of everyone’s favorite musical, Les Miserables.

Stage and Screen Cred: While studying at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music, McCarrell performed roles like Lewis in Pippin, Anthony in Sweeney Todd and Gabe in Next to Normal. Professional credits include Summer of ’42, the Jake Gyllenhaal role in a musical version of Bubble Boy and Nibs, one of the Lost Boys in Peter Pan Live! on NBC.
