Stage and Screen Cred: Although this enormous TV event marks her professional debut, Williams cut her teeth doing musicals in school, starting with a middle school production of The Wiz (she was Addaperle) and climaxing her senior year turn as Polly in Rahway High School’s Crazy for You, a performance that earned her a Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Award.
