New Year With Nathan Lane
Tony winner and devoted dog owner Nathan Lane will join this year’s edition of the New York Philharmonic’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration, La Vie Parisienne, narrating Saint-Saëns’s Carnival of the Animals. Penned by Broadway stalwarts Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde), each animal portrayed by Lane will be a New York archetype. Conducted by music director Alan Gilbert, the performance is also set to feature pianists Inon Barnatan, the Philharmonic’s Artist-in-Association and Makoto Ozone. If you can't get to New York, never fear, the concert will be telecast live nationally on Live From Lincoln Center on PBS stations, so you can enjoy the hilarious Lane from the comfort of your own couch!
Tickets on Sale for Washer/Dryer
Tickets are now available for a new off-Broadway comedy about a recently eloped young couple who haven't been entirely truthful with each other…Penned by Nandita Shendoy and directed by Benjamin Kamine, Washer/Dryer will begin performances at Theatre Row’s Beckett Theatre on January 26, 2016. Starring Shendoy and Johnny Wu, the limited engagement is scheduled to officially open on February 2 and play through February 21.
Adam Pascal, Telly Leung & More Team Up
Adam Pascal, Allegiance's Telly Leung, Beautiful's Jarrod Spector and Eden Espinosa have boarded the already start-studded lineup for Inspirational Broadway. As previously reported, Billy Porter and more will perform at the concert at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill on February 15. The evening will help benefit the Broadway Inspirational Voices outreach program. Sounds like an event not to be missed!
Hunter Foster & Jennifer Cody Tap John Arthur Greene
He’s the one that Main Stem duo Hunter Foster and Jennifer Cody want! Broadway alum John Arthur Greene (Matilda) and more have boarded the couple’s upcoming production of Grease. Scheduled to play Raleigh’s Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts February 9, 2016 through February 14, Greene is set to take on the role of Danny Zuko; Wicked vet Emily Behny will play Sandy.
