Alexander Hamilton provided the foundation of the U.S. Treasury, so it’s only fitting that you’re throwing all this money back at him. The Broadway juggernaut Hamilton claimed the top spot in this past week’s grosses as it reigned over usual suspects The Lion King, Wicked, The Book of Mormon and Aladdin. This marks the first week since it began performances last July that Hamilton was number one on the charts. Three additional shows hit seven figures over the frigid week: On Your Feet!, Fiddler on the Roof and School of Rock. Meanwhile, the Tony-winning A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder played its final performance on January 17; it appeared in the top five shows by capacity before leaving the boards.
