Think of it as a technical glitch. The upcoming Broadway premiere of Nerds, A Musical Dot-Comedy has delayed its first preview performance. The production will now begin on April 1 instead of the previously announced March 31. Opening night is still set for April 21 at the Longacre Theatre.
The show, which played North Carolina in 2013, follows the rise of personal computing and its founding fathers: Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. Casey Hushion will direct the musical, which features music by Hal Goldberg and a book and lyrics by Jordan Allen-Dutton and Erik Weiner. Casting will be announced soon.
Broadway.com customers with tickets to the canceled performance will be contacted with information on refunds or exchanges.
