Douglas Hodge & Kelli Barrett Set for My Fair Lady
Tony winner Douglas Hodge (La Cage aux Folles) and Broadway alum Kelli Barrett (Doctor Zhivago) will take on the iconic roles of Professor Henry Higgins and Eliza Doolittle, respectively, in My Fair Lady. Directed by 2016 Tony nominee Michael Arden (Spring Awakening), Lerner and Loewe’s classic tuner is set to play a limited engagement August 2 through August 28 at Sag Harbor’s Bay Street Theater. Also tapped for the production are Howard McGillan as Colonel Pickering, John O'Creagh as Alfred P. Doolittle and Bobby Conte Thornton as Freddy Eynsford-Hill. Wouldn't it be loverly if we could go to the Hamptons and catch this?
Leslie Odom Jr.'s Next Project
He's not throwing away his shot! Hamilton star and Broadway.com vlogger Leslie Odom Jr. is set to release a self-titled debut album of jazz classics. The Broadway.com Audience Choice Award winner and 2016 Tony nominee’s 10-track collection will feature fresh interpretations of songs including a new arrangement of “The Guilty Ones” from Spring Awakening. The record is scheduled to drop on June 10 on S-Curve Records.

Returning to the summer-out-of-the-city theme, further casting has been announced for the Williamstown Theatre Festival. On the Main Stage, Portia will join The Rose Tattoo and Ashley Austin Morris and Mary Wiseman have been tapped for Romance Novels For Dummies. Over at the Nikos Stage, Katy Sullivan is set for the Cost of Living, and Rohan Kymal and Taylor Trensch are now part of the lineup for Poster Boy.
Ambassador Theatre Group Shocks Broadway
Those involved in the business of Broadway have been left reeling by the news that after 25 years, Howard Panter and Rosemary Squire will no longer lead the Ambassador Theatre Group. ATG controls two Main Stem theaters—the ginormous Lyric (where Paramour is) and the in-development Hudson. The company additionally operates more than 40 theaters in Britain and Asia. Mark Cornell, a bigwig at Sotheby’s Europe and previously LVMH, along with Adam Kenwright, the co-founder of AKA, a theatrical marketing and communications services provider, will take the reins.
James Corden Taps Lin-Manuel Miranda for Karaoke?
Looks like James Corden is in full-on prep mode for his upcoming gig hosting the Tony Awards! The Tony winner, whose Carpool Karaoke segments for his The Late Late Show have become viral sensations, has been spotted in New York chauffeuring around Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda. Since they have both made it quite clear that they'd like to film Karaoke together, it seems highly likely that they have now done so! Broadway's biggest night takes place on June 12.
