The West End’s The Play That Goes Wrong has announced that there will be a new and doubly incompetent bunch of “would be” thespians taking the stage at London’s Duchess Theatre from June 29.
Adam Byron will play Robert, with Drew Dillon as Dennis, Joanne Ferguson as Annie, Fred Gray as Trevor, April Hughes as Sandra, Oliver Llewellyn-Jenkins as Jonathan, Daniel Millar as Max and Hayden Wood as Chris. Rounding out the company will be Adam Boakes, Katy Daghorn, George Haynes and Lindsey Scott.
Directed by Mark Bell, the Olivier-winning production started its life at a London fringe venue with only four paying members of the public at the first performance, and has now played to an audience of over a quarter of a million.
The Play That Goes Wrong introduces The Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society, a group attempting to put on a 1920s murder mystery. As the title suggests, what can go wrong does go wrong as the accident-prone thespians battle on against all odds to get to their final curtain call.
