Tony Winners Set for Broadway for Orlando
70 Broadway favorites including Tony winners Idina Menzel, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Bernadette Peters, Sutton Foster, Audra McDonald, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Jane Krakowski, Nathan Lane, Kelli O’Hara, Jessie Mueller, Matthew Broderick, Michael Cerveris, James Monroe Iglehart, Billy Porter and Chita Rivera, will join forces to record a new benefit single of the iconic 1965 song, “What the World Needs Now is Love.” The Broadway for Orlando initiative has been created to honor the victims and those wounded in the Orlando shooting massacre at Pulse nightclub and aid the surrounding community. 100% of the proceeds from the number's sale will benefit the LGBT Center of Central Florida and is set to be available for digital download purchase on Broadway Records from June 20. Producer Fred Caruso Dead at 41
Fred Caruso is dead at the age of 41 in an apparent suicide. According to a post found on The Big Gay Musical's Facebook page, he had been struggling with suicidal thoughts before he died on Monday, June 13. The theater producer was behind off-Broadway's Newsical and encouraged fans, friends and loved ones to donate to The Trevor Project in his final post.

Wesleyan University Establishes the Hamilton Prize
Attention all young, scrappy and hungry aspiring college students! Wesleyan University will establish a four-year full tuition scholarship honoring Hamilton creators (and Wesleyan alums) Lin-Manuel Miranda and Thomas Kail. Beginning in the class of 2021, incoming college students may submit a creative written work to be considered for the Wesleyan University Hamilton Prize. Hopeful participants should strive to passionately smash every expectation—Miranda and Kail will serve as honorary chairs on the judging committee.

Could Hugh Jackman Be A Face in the Crowd?

Five-time Broadway.com Audience Choice Award winner and Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe will lead off-Broadway's Privacy beginning on July 5. The stage alum recently stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to discuss his latest theatrical venture. The play explores our complicated relationship with technology, and Radcliffe revealed that anything can happen during this immersive production. So the question is now on Colbert (and everyone else's) mind: will he hail back to those Equus roots and strip down? "One of the great things about the show is that it's gonna be changing on a nightly basis—so who knows?" he said. That's not a "no"!
