London’s Murder Ballad just got even steamier. Stage favorite Ramin Karimloo and Norman Bowman have joined the rock musical's U.K. premiere. The two will appear opposite the previously announced Kerry Ellis and Victoria Hamilton-Barritt. Performances will begin on September 29 at the Arts Theatre.
Karimloo received a Tony nomination for his Broadway debut as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables and an Olivier nod for Love Never Dies in the West End. His additional credits include multiple roles in The Phantom of the Opera (including the title character for the 25th anniversary production), Prince of Broadway and Miss Saigon. Bowman’s previous credits include Les Miserables, Of Mice and Men, Henry V, Mack and Mabel, End of the Rainbow, Mamma Mia! and Parade.
Murder Ballad, featuring a score by Juliana Nash and a book by Julia Jordan, explores a dangerous web of relationships between Sara, a new mother with a downtown past, her husband Michael, her ex Tom and a mysterious mistress of ceremonies who weaves in and out of the narrative.
