The self-proclaimed doganizer is back to spread canine love to the Great White Way, and this time, she’ll been joined by the queen of conga. Gloria Estefan will co-host the 18th annual Broadway Barks celebration alongside founder Bernadette Peters on July 30. The adoption event, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will take place at Shubert Alley beginning at 3 PM.
A roster of Broadway favorites are on tap to showcase the pups up for adoption. The lineup includes Broadway animal trainer Bill Berloni, Reed Birney, Sierra Boggess, Sophia Anne Caruso, Allison Case, Michael Cerveris, Leanne Cope, Alma Cuervo, Drew Gehling, Rick Holmes, Jayne Houdyshell, Judy Kaye, Beth Malon, Willow McCarthy, Judy McLane, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Bebe Neuwirth, Brad Oscar, Jill Paice, Gabriella Pizzolo, Emily Skeggs, Peter Scolari, Carrie St. Louis, Max von Essen, Aviva Winick, Amra-Faye Wright and Jessica Keeenan Wynn.
Broadway Barks helps shelter animals find permanent homes. Every year, the Broadway community comes together to introduce dogs and cats to New Yorkers and encourage adopting from the 27 participating animal rescue groups.
