Kristin Chenoweth Eyes Broadway Return
We have an update on what Kristin Chenoweth may be headlining next on Broadway. As we exclusively revealed, the Tony winner recently took part in a reading of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Will it go forward? "I think there is financing in place and I think it has to be a decision we can make and I have another show that I’m involved with about Tammy Faye Bakker. It’s all about timing," Chenoweth told The Hollywood Reporter. Back in 2013 she revealed to Broadway.com that the long-in-the-works Bakker project, entitled Rise, was "a few years away." Apparently the pocket diva's expecting a revised script this August 1; we will keep you posted!

Jenna Fischer Tapped for Steve Martin's New Play
We’re keeping an eye on this production, which is part of San Diego Old Globe’s summer season…it could have legs. Directed by Gordon Edelstein, the adult comedy will play July 30 through September 11 (extended a week because of popular demand). Opening night is scheduled for August 7 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Martin was recently represented on Broadway by Bright Star.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's #Ham4Ham Love Letter
At Lin-Manuel Miranda's final #Ham4Ham show (although we have a feeling that he'll be back), Hamilton's creator and star read a 1780 love letter from Alexander to Eliza. He also, below, wished "happy trails" to Phillipa Soo and Leslie Odom Jr., who both depart the hit tuner with him on July 9. What'd we miss?! Probably very little—Odom Jr. was clutching his Broadway.com vlogging camera!
