After mastering hoop skirts on Broadway, Kelli O’Hara is heading to the small screen for some Sex. The Tony winner (and reigning Broadway.com Star of the Year) will join the cast of Masters of Sex for the Showtime drama’s fourth season. According to TV Line, she is set to play Dody, a long-lost love of Dr. William Masters (played by Michael Sheen).
O’Hara won a Tony Award for her leading performance as Anna—the titular “I”—in The King and I last year. She has also received nominations for The Bridges of Madison County, Nice Work If You Can Get It, South Pacific, The Pajama Game and The Light in the Piazza. Her previous screen work includes Peter Pan Live!, Sex and the City 2 and a PBS special about Alexander Hamilton in which she played Maria Reynolds (she did not sing “Say No to This”).
Among the cast of regulars is fellow Tony winner Annaleigh Ashford. A number of Broadway favorites and alumni have appeared on the show before, including Beau Bridges, Heléne Yorke, Allison Janney, Keke Palmer, Finn Wittrock and Alex Wyse.
The fourth season of Masters of Sex is set to premiere on September 11.
