Elsie Fest just got a whole lot stranger. Caleb McLaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo, two young Broadway alums who play Lucas and Dustin, respectively, on the Netflix series Stranger Things, will make guest appearances at the showtune-infused outdoor music festival.
The event, which was founded by Darren Criss, Jordan Roth and Ricky Rollins, will take place on September 5 at the Ford Amphitheater at the Coney Island Boardwalk.
Also joining the lineup is YouTube star Todrick Hall, who will soon return to Broadway as Lola in Kinky Boots. The roster of previously announced performers includes Megan Hilty, Tituss Burgess, Jason Robert Brown, Lena Hall, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, Corey Cott, Julie James and special guest Cynthia Erivo.
McLaughlin appeared on Broadway as Young Simba in The Lion King. His additional screen credits include Shades of Blue and Forever. Matarazzo made his Broadway debut in Priscilla Queen of the Desert and went on to play Gavroche in Les Misérables on tour and on Broadway.
