The big man in town has returned! Jersey Boys alum Matt Bogart is back in the Tony-winning musical; he begins performances on September 6. Michael Lomenda stepped in for Bogart as Nick Massi from May 3 through September 4 while Bogart was on leave from the long-running tuner while he appeared in off-Broadway's Himself and Nora.
Since making his Broadway debut as Chris in Miss Saigon, Bogart has appeared on the Main Stem in Smokey Joe’s Café, The Civil War, Aida and Jersey Boys, which he joined in 2008 as Massi, the deep-voiced, man-of-few-words Four Season. Away from New York, Bogart starred in the world premiere of Zhivago, a national tour of Camelot and in numerous productions at Washington’s Arena Stage.
The Tony-winning jukebox tuner Jersey Boys tells the story of how Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons went from being unknown New Jersey kids to international pop superstars. The show features over 30 hit songs, including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You.”
The production currently additionally stars Richard H. Blake as Tommy DeVito and Quinn VanAntwerp as Bob Gaudio. Mauricio Pérez and Dominic Scaglione Jr. are alternating the role of Frankie Valli.
