Finding Neverland Circles Jersey Boys' Theater in the West End

Hot on the heels of the announcement that Jersey Boys will shutter at the West End's Piccadilly Theatre, comes speculation that Harvey Weinstein has secured the venue for the London transfer of Finding Neverland. According to the Daily Mail, the Broadway.com Audience Choice Award-winning tuner could open at the venue in the late Spring/early Summer next year.

It has been previously rumored that Kelsey Grammer, who originated the role of Charles Frohman in the show, as well as Alfie Boe, who played J.M. Barrie for a time during the Main Stem run, will headline.

Featuring a score by Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy and a book by James Graham, Finding Neverland follows the story of J.M. Barrie and his relationship with the family of widow Sylvia Llewelyn Davies. Llewelyn Davies' children eventually became Barrie's inspiration to write Peter Pan. The Diane Paulus-helmed production opened on Broadway in spring 2015 following an out-of-town run at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It closed on the Great White Way this past August; a U.S. national tour will launch on October 11 in Buffalo.
