Alex Brightman Lands Guest Spot on Showtime Series
Alex Brightman, who recently departed School of Rock, has already booked his next gig! The 2016 Tony nominee will guest star in a pilot for Showtime’s SMILF. According to Deadline, the comedy is based on Frankie Shaw’s short film and follows the trials and tribulations of single, 20-something, mom Bridgette (Shaw). Brightman is set to play Jesse, who had a crush on her in High School; Rosie O’Donnell will appear as Tutu, Bridgette’s mom.

It was a busy night on November 8 for Tony nominee Brandon Victor Dixon. After appearing as Aaron Burr in Broadway's Hamilton, he stopped by MTV's The People's Playhouse to sing "We Are." Check out the moving performance below.
