Alison Fraser has replaced Patricia Kalember in the upcoming Primary Stages production of Terrence McNally's Dedication or The Stuff of Dreams, according to a production spokesperson. Previously announced cast members Michael Countryman, Nathan Lane, Darren Pettie, R.E. Rodgers, Marian Seldes and Miriam Shor are still attached to the play.
Fraser received Tony Award nominations for her work in Romance/Romance and The Secret Garden. She also appeared on the Great White Way in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Falsettos and Tartuffe. Her off-Broadway credits include March of the Falsettos, Beehive, Swingtime Canteen, The Green Heart and Prodigal.
Dedication or the Stuff of Dreams centers on Lou Nuncle Lane and Jessie Nuncle Fraser, who run a children's theater in a mall in upstate New York. When the possibility of taking over an abandoned vaudeville palace arises, the Nuncles are forced to examine how far their love of theater will take them.
Dedication or The Stuff of Dreams, directed by Michael Morris, is scheduled to run off-Broadway at 59E59 Theaters from July 26 through September 18.
