Child film star Gaby Hoffmann has replaced Kelli Garner in the Second Stage Theatre production of Eric Bogosian's subUrbia. Garner withdrew from the show due to a scheduling conflict with the film Lars and the Real Girl, which is filming in Toronto. subUrbia will now start previews a day late, on September 7, with opening night still set for September 28.
Hoffmann, who will play the role of Sooze, appeared in the Lincoln Center Theater production of Wendy Wasserstein's Third earlier in the year and was seen in The Sugar Syndrome at Williamstown Theatre Festival. As a child, she starred in many hit films including Field of Dreams, Uncle Buck, This Is My Life, Sleepless in Seattle and Now and Then.
