Spamalot, Doubt Win 2007 Touring Broadway Awards

Monty Python's Spamalot won Best New Musical and Doubt was named Best Play in the League of American Theatres and Producers' 2007 Touring Broadway Awards. The winners were announced on April 16 at the League's Spring Road Conference at a ceremony hosted by Christine Ebersole, star of Grey Gardens.

The Touring Broadway Awards, established in 2001, are the first national awards to recognize "touring Broadway." League presenters representing more than 240 markets act as a blue-ribbon panel to select recipients from their Broadway Series.
