Burkhardt created the role of Lucie Manette in A Tale of Two Cities and starred as Daisy Mae in Lil’ Abner for the Los Angeles Reprise series and as Emma in the international touring production of Jekyll & Hyde: Resurrection. Her screen credits include playing Siren the mermaid in Passions and the upcoming feature film Confessions of a Shopaholic. She has sung with numerous orchestras and was the only American featured in the recording of The Count of Monte Cristo as Mercedes. Burkhardt discussed her background, including her stint as Miss New York, in a Fresh Face interview with Broadway.com.
