A new roster of stars has been announced for the off-Broadway hit Love, Loss and What I Wore. Joining the show in February and March 2010 are Didi Conn, Fran Drescher, Janeane Garofalo, Carol Kane, June Diane Raphael and Caroline Rhea. The show opened to strong reviews on October 1 at the Westside Theatre and has been extended through March, directed by Karen Carpenter.
Based on the best-selling book by Ilene Beckerman, Love, Loss and What I Wore is a collection of personal stories written and collected by Nora and Delia Ephron. A cast of five female performers uses clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories that all women can relate to.
Love, Loss, and What I Wore features rotating cast of five women who perform in four-week cycles. The current cast (through December 13) includes Kristin Chenoweth, Lucy DeVito, Capathia Jenkins, Rhea Perlman and Rita Wilson. From December 16–January 3, the show will feature Lucy DeVito, Katie Finneran, Capathia Jenkins, Natasha Lyonne and Carol Kane (replacing the previously announced Mary Louise Wilson). Beginning January 6, Katie Finneran, Michele Lee, Debra Monk, Tracee Ellis Ross and Casey Wilson join the cast (through January 31).
Producer Daryl Roth announced that Love, Loss and What I Wore has recouped its capitalization after only 11 weeks.
