Redgrave Offers Nightingale at Culture Project

A few seasons back, New York was supposed to see Lynn Redgrave's The Mandrake Root where Redgrave was to star as a character loosely based on her mother, Lady Rachel Kempson. The mounting was cancelled and Redgrave has been acting in other people's work ever since. But recently she was in Gotham performing her latest play, the one-woman show Nightingale, which was also inspired by her family (this time her maternal grandmother provided the muse). Those who were at the Culture Project on August 30 had the honor of seeing Redgrave perform Nightingale. If you couldn't be there, here is a glimpse of the evening.
