Green Day: Rock Band is the newest installment in the popular Rock Band video game series, which allows gamers at home to play along to rock music, with each player assigned to different instruments. The Green Day game is the second in the series dedicated to an individual band (The Beatles: Rock Band was released last year) and features 19 songs heard in the Broadway musical American Idiot.
Included in the game are "21 Guns," "American Idiot," "Before the Lobotomy," "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," "Extraordinary Girl," "Give Me Novocaine," "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)," "Holiday," "Homecoming," "Jesus of Suburbia," "Know Your Enemy," "Last of the American Girls," "Last Night on Earth," "Letterbomb," "She's a Rebel," "St. Jimmy," "Wake Me Up When September Comes," "Whatshername" and "We Are the Waiting."
American Idiot, which features songs from the Green Day albums American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown (as well as their earlier hit "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)") has been nominated for three 2010 Tony Awards including Best Musical.
