Complete casting has been announced for Roundabout Theatre Company's upcoming Broadway revival of Anything Goes, starring Sutton Foster as Reno Sweeney and Joel Grey as Moonface Martin. The Cole Porter classic will begin performances at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on March 10, 2011, ahead of an April 7 opening, directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall.
Joining Foster and Grey will be Jessica Walter as Evangeline Harcourt, John McMartin as Elisha Whitney, Colin Donnell as Billy Crocker, Adam Godley as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, Laura Osnes as Hope Harcourt, Jessica Stone as Erma, Walter Charles as the Captain, Robert Creighton as Purser, Andrew Cao as Luke and Raymond J. Lee as John.
Rounding out the cast are ensemble members Clyde Alves, Ward Billeisen, Joyce Chittick, Nikki Renée Daniels, Margot De La Barre, Kimberly Fauré, Josh Franklin, Justin Greer, Daniel J. Edwards, Tari Kelly, Shina Ann Morris, Linda Mugleston, Kevin Munhall, Adam Perry, William Ryall, Jennifer Savelli, Anthony Wayne and Kristen Beth Williams.
Stage favorite Anything Goes tells the story of two unlikely pairs set off on the course of true love when they board the S.S. American in a flurry of song, dance, exotic disguises and good old-fashioned blackmail. The score features such classics as the title tune, as well as "You're The Top," "It's De-Lovely," "Blow, Gabriel, Blow" and "I Get a Kick Out of You."
McMartin is currently starring in A Free Man of Color. Other Broadway credits include Is He Dead? and Grey Gardens. He received Tony nominations for Into the Woods, High Society, Show Boat, Don Juan and Sweet Charity and starred in the original production of Sondheim’s Follies.
Walter has been seen on Broadway in Advise and Consent, Neil Simon’s Rumors, A Severed Head, Nightlife and Photo Finish, She is best known to TV fans as the Bluth family matriarch in Arrested Development.
Donnell made his Broadway debut in Jersey Boys. His off-Broadway credits include Follies, Meet Me in St. Louis and Almost Heaven, and he has appeared in the national tours of Wicked and Mamma Mia!
Godley has appeared in numerous London productions in the West End and Royal Shakespeare Company and has received three Olivier Award nominations, most recently as Raymond Babbitt in Rain Man opposite Josh Hartnett. On Broadway, Godley received a Theatre World Award for his performance in Private Lives.
Osnes currently reprising her role of Bonnie Parker in Frank Wildhorn’s Bonnie And Clyde at Asolo Repertory Theatre. Broadway credits include the most revival of Grease and South Pacific, and her other stage credits include Pride and Prejudice, The Wizard of Oz and Peter Pan.
Stone has been seen on Broadway in Butley, The Odd Couple, Smell of the Kill, Design For Living, How to Succeed… and Grease. Off-Broadway credits include Crimes of the Heart, Krisit, The Country Club, June Moon, Tenderloin and Babes in Arms.
Among Charles’ many Broadway credits are The Apple Tree, The Boys from Syracuse, The Woman in White, Big River, Kiss Me, Kate, La Cage Aux Folles, Aspects of Love, Me & My Girl, Cats, Grease, Anna Karenina and Sweeney Todd.
Creighton’s Broadway credits include The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Damn Yankees, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Jackie Mason’s Laughing Room Only.
Cao makes his Broadway debut with Anything Goes. His recent New York credits include Baayork Lee's Oklahoma!, Bells are Ringing (NY City Center Encores), and Frog Kiss.
Lee has been seen on Broadway in Mamma Mia! His off-Broadway credits include Applause, Two Gentlemen of Verona and Victor Woo.
