The dysfunctional family drama is a hallmark of American theater, and the latest exploration of this familiar theme, off-Broadway offering Blood From a Stone, is coming out swinging. The debut work of playwright Tommy Nohilly stars Ethan Hawke as Travis, who returns to his working class childhood home in New Britain, CT, and finds his family spiraling towards a violent implosion.
