A Killer Opening Night for Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson

Broadway got a little sexier on October 13 when the highly-anticipated rock musical Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson officially opened on the Great White Way. The musical about the life of our seventh—and, if the show is to be believed, hottest—president, features a pulsing rock score and the immortal tagline, “History just got all sexypants.” It was extended three times at the Public Theater off-Broadway before moving uptown, and fans and friends—not to mention stars of stages and screens of all sizes—were there to celebrate the talented young cast of this high-octane, camp-tastic musical.
