The Public Theater's new musical comedy Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson has been winning the votes of off-Broadway theatergoers with its combination of catchy campaign tunes by Michael Friedman, one-liners and pratfalls staged by Alex Timbers and the sexy swagger of a rocking cast. Now, after two extensions (bringing the show's run through May 30), the people have spoken: they want an off-Broadway cast recording, and they're going to get it. The political satire joined forces with Sh-K-Boom Records and founder/producer Kurt Deutsch on April 26, stepping into the studio to make sure generations of fans will have the chance to work songs like "Populism Yea Yea" and "I'm Not That Guy" into school reports for horrified history teachers across the globe. We joined star Benjamin Walker, the cast and the creative team for a quick photo shoot at Legacy Studios on their big day. Click through to hit the studio with Andrew Jackson and company.
