Another day, another entry in Broadway.com's The Book of Mormon monthlong video series! When it came time to cast the role of Nabulungi, composer Robert Lopez, who describes the character as a "Disney princess from a starving African town," knew the perfect person to call: Nikki M. James, an old friend from his time as an intern at off-Broadway's Playwrights Horizons. James agreed to participate in a secretive Mormon reading even without being allowed to see the material beforehand. She definitely made the right decision, as James is now earning rave reviews for her portrayal of the charming young African villager and scored a Tony nomination. See what her peers have to say about her work below!
