Norm Lewis, Jan Maxwell, Josh Gad & More Join MCC’s Miscast 2012 Gala
Norm Lewis, Jan Maxwell, Nicole Parker and The Book of Mormon stars Josh Gad and Rory O’Malley have been added as performers for MCC’s Miscast 2012 gala. MCC’s annual gala features actors performing songs from roles in which they would never be cast. The actors join previously announced stars Jonathan Groff, Nikki M. James and Smash's Megan Hilty. The evening will take place on March 26 at the Hammerstein Ballroom and is hosted by comedian Lewis Black.
Miscast 2012 will honor the creators of MCC's currently running revival of Carrie, which includes Academy Award-winning composer Michael Gore, Academy Award-winning lyricist Dean Pitchford and book writer Lawrence D. Cohen.
Last year, Miscast 2011 celebrated MCC’s 25th Anniversary season and honored a collection of MCC Theater alumni including Charles Busch, Norbert Leo Butz, Kathleen Chalfant, T.R. Knight, Swoosie Kurtz, Neil LaBute, Melissa Leo, Judith Light, Joe Mantello, Amanda Peet, Liev Schreiber and Marisa Tomei. The evening was hosted by Bravo TV’s Andy Cohen.
