Death of a Salesman, Starring Philip Seymour Hoffman and Andrew Garfield, Opens on Broadway

Mike Nichols' starry revival of Death of a Salesman, Arthur Miller’s 1949 Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play, opens on Broadway March 15. The production, starring Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman, Golden Globe nominee Andrew Garfield and Tony nominee Linda Emond, plays the Ethel Barrymore Theatre through June 2.

A slew of actors from stage and screen are expected to turn out for this exciting opening including Emma Stone, Smash's Anjelica Huston, Spike Lee, Whoopi Goldberg, Bill Hader, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Peter Sarsgaard, Marlo Thomas, Elaine May, Charlie Cox, Anna-Deavere Smith, Michael Cristofer and Bobby Cannavale.

Death of a Salesman concerns Willy Loman (Hoffman) an aging traveling salesman coming to terms with the emptiness of his life. Willy had great dreams for his oldest son, Biff (Garfield), a former high school football star who has not lived up to his father’s expectations. Emond co-stars as Willy's steadfast wife, Linda.

Joining Hoffman, Garfield and Emond are Remy Auberjonois, Bill Camp, Glenn Fleshler, John Glover, Stephanie Janssen, Fran Kranz, Kathleen McNenny, Elizabeth Morton, Molly Price and Finn Wittrock as Happy Loman.
