Evita Star Ricky Martin May Shake His Bon-Bon on Glee

Before Ricky Martin returns to Broadway as Che Guevara in Evita next spring, he may go back to high school as a guest star on Glee. According to Tvline.com, Martin is in negotiations to appear as “the hottest Spanish teacher ever in the history of Ohio” in an episode of the Fox hit to air in late January 2012. He will reportedly headline two as-yet unspecified musical numbers in the episode.

Martin is best known for 1990s pop music hits like “Livin’ La Vida Loca,” “She Bangs,” and “La Copa de la Vida.” His previous television credits include an episode of The Love Boat, several Spanish-language shows and a two-year stint on soap opera General Hospital in 1994-95. In 1996, he played Marius in the original Broadway production of Les Miserables.

If he makes it to Lima, Ohio, Martin would be the latest high-profile to stop by McKinley High School, joining Glee vets Kristin Chenoweth, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cheyenne Jackson and John Stamos.
