Bruce Springsteen Joins The Rising at Fela!

Bono, Carlos Santana, Paul McCartney… those are just some of the rock stars who count themselves as big fans of legendary musician Fela Kuti. Now 20-time Grammy winner Bruce Springsteen can be added to the list as “The Boss” headed to The Shrine (a.k.a. the Eugene O’Neill Theatre) to jam to the Afrobeat sounds of the Fela!. After the show on August 19, Springsteen and his family headed backstage to greet the cast. Springsteen, who’s no stranger to politically charged music himself, absolutely loved the show and didn’t hide his sentiments when meeting stars Sahr Ngaujah and Lillias White. Take a look!
