Mark St. Germain's two-hander Freud’s Last Session will play its final performance at off-Broadway's Marjorie S. Deane Little Theatre on October 2, and will reopen October 7 at New World Stages. The play, which originally opened on July 22, 2010, is directed by Tyler Marchant and stars Mark H. Dold as C.S. Lewis and Martin Rayner as Sigmund Freud.
Freud’s Last Session imagines a meeting between legends: psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud and professor and author C.S. Lewis. Set on the day England enters World War II, Germain’s play imagines these super-smart men going head to head on the existence of God, the meaning of life and much more.
