Broadway’s Booth Theatre is currently playing host to Matthew Lombardo's High, a gritty drama of addiction and forgiveness. Tony nominee Kathleen Turner leads the cast as Sister Jamison Connelly, a nun with a less-than-saintly past, who finds herself sponsoring the recovery of a young hustler and addict played by Broadway newcomer Evan Jonigkeit. During a recent meet and greet, we chatted with the talented High team about the challenges of bringing this brutal tale to Broadway, especially with a lead character that has very little in common with her Sister Act sisters.
