Mark Rylance is delivering one terrific performance as the eccentric Johnny "Rooster" Bryon in Jez Butterworth's Jerusalem. During the show, Rylance douses himself in alcohol, swallows raw eggs, covers himself in blood and lots more. Broadway.com caught up with the Tony-winning actor on Jerusalem's April 21 opening night to find out what it's like performing this wild character.
