The new musical Lucky Guy, starring Wicked and Next to Normal alum Kyle Dean Massey as a country music hopeful named Billy Ray Jackson, will soon be bringing the heart and sound of Nashville to off-Broadway's Little Shubert Theatre. On April 12, the cast—including Broadway vets Jenn Colella and Jim Newman and comic actor Leslie Jordan—two-stepped out to meet the press at Ripley-Grier Studios, previewing a show that blends country, Broadway, vaudeville, bluegrass, pop and even Hawaiian music. Willard Beckham wrote and directs this toe-tapping tuner about the dreamers and schemers who will do anything to score a solid gold record.
