British Pop Star Cheryl Cole Visits Mary Poppins

British singing sensation Cheryl Cole, a member of the pop group Girls Aloud as well as a successful solo artist, is headed stateside as a judge on Fox's upcoming singing competition The X-Factor. Before Cole begins sifting through thousands of talented American hopefuls in the show's audition rounds, she caught some truly gifted performers showcasing their craft by attending the May 17 performance of Broadway's Mary Poppins. After the show Cole headed backstage to snap some shots with stars Ashley Brown and fellow Brit Gavin Lee. The musical also welcomed another special guest that night: composer Richard Sherman, who wrote the songs featured in both the original Mary Poppins film and its stage adaptation.
