It’s a hoot for Broadway fave Nancy Opel to play feisty mama Gladys Calhoun in Memphis, but when she's not tearing up the stage with sass and verve, she's still plenty busy. The actress—and photography buff, avid knitter, proud real-life mother and student of Mandarin Chinese—recently invited Broadway.com into her home away from home backstage at the Shubert Theatre to show off five of her backstage must-haves.
