Priscilla’s Nick Adams Has a ‘Holy Sh*t!’ Moment After His Double Audience Choice Award Wins

“Holy sh*t!” Priscilla Queen of the Desert star and Broadway.com video blogger Nick Adams joyously exclaimed as he headed backstage at the Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards. Adams picked up two trophies during the evening for Favorite Diva Performance and Favorite Breakthrough Performance.

“I’m, like, shaking,” he said. “I know [this ceremony] is really fun and everyone’s off-the-cuff with it, but I literally got up [to the podium] and was so overwhelmed. [Fans] are the people who come and see the show every night and appreciate what you’re doing onstage, so to have them acknowledge me for two categories means a lot.”

So how fierce does Adams feel after being named Broadway’s new reigning diva? “It’s awesome. I was just honored to be in the same category as Patti LuPone and Sutton Foster, but to win? I’m blown away.”
