Paul Shaffer took a break from his busy duties as bandleader at The Late Show With David Letterman on June 8 and headed over to the Palace Theatre to check out Broadway's most fabulous new musical, Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Shaffer was in familar territory when the cast began belting out the show's opening number, "It's Raining Men": He wrote the classic disco tune in 1979! The track eventually became a massive success for the Weather Girls in 1982. Shaffer must have been very pleased with Priscilla's ode to sexy weather forecasts as he will introduce Weather Girl Martha Wash and the cast of Priscilla when they peform the song live at the Tony Awards on June 12. After the performance, Shaffer ventured backstage to grab some photos with the talented cast. Take a look at his adventure below!
