Producers of Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark have asked playwright Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa to help rework the book of the new musical, according to The New York Times. Aguirre-Sacasa and a spokesman for the production would not comment on the possible collaboration. Spider-Man currently features a book by the show's director Julie Taymor and co-author Glen Berger.

Aguirre-Sacasa's off-Broadway plays include Good Boys and True and Based on a Totally True Story, which followed the life of a a DC Comics writer. He is also working alongside Duncan Sheik to craft a musical adaptation of the popular novel and film American Psycho.
Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark features a score from U2's Bono and The Edge. The musical stars Reeve Carney as the title hero, Jennifer Damiano as Mary Jane Watson, Patrick Page as the Green Goblin and T.V. Carpio as Arachne. Opening night is set for March 15 at the Foxwoods Theatre.
