As Spider-Man’s director and co-author Julie Taymor recently told Broadway.com, the theme of the new musical is its anthem, “Rise Above.” In the midst of an avalanche of speculation about the show’s future, the production’s press team, O&M Co., sent the Broadway.com offices a couple of timely gifts. We received this striking print (see above). The limited edition silk screen, designed by artist Noah Scalin, features the buildings of lower Manhattan and what is possibly a mantra for a company beleaguered by injuries, unwelcome early reviews and endless ribbing in the press. Along with the art work, the production also unveiled this video clip of star T.V. Carpio, who plays spider goddess Arachne, singing the signature number to leading man, Reeve Carney (click below). Read into its message what you will.
