Broadway is about to get 20 degrees hotter, when Nina Arianda and Hugh Dancy team up in David Ives’ Venus in Fur. This smart and sexy drama begins previews at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on October 13, and we’ve got a first look at the steamy poster art for Manhattan Theatre Club’s Main Stem production.
Venus in Fur centers on a young actress who arrives to audition for a playwright/director—who soon joins her in reading his stage adaptation of the famously suggestive 19th century novel. Tony nominee Arianda (Born Yesterday) and film and stage star Dancy would appear to be perfectly matched for this two-person adventure, which is set to open on November 8, directed by Walter Bobbie.
