The cast of Glee recently made their way to New York City to film the series' upcoming season finale, and cast members were spotted at Broadway's Gershwin Theatre, home to the long-running hit musical Wicked. As previously speculated by Broadway.com, the show will feature scenes on the Wicked stage with show stars Lea Michele and Chris Colfer performing the song "For Good."
In the episode, the McKinley High crew travels to Manhattan to compete in the national glee club competition. While having a Big Apple adventure that includes a tour of Central Park and trip to Sardi's (where Michele and co-star Cory Monteith run into stage icon Patti LuPone), Rachel (Michele) and Kurt (Colfer) manage to sneak onto the stage at Wicked. The episode will air on May 24 on Fox.
This isn't the first time the Wicked stage has been featured prominently on a hit TV series. A 2007 episode of Ugly Betty found the title character (America Ferrerra) attending a performance with her new boyfriend Henry (Christopher Gorham).
