Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis, currently of hit musical Rock of Ages, will take to the famed Joe’s Pub for A Night at the Rock Show. Maroulis hits the stage as a solo act on September 23 and October 14 for the rock-themed series.
According to press notes, A Night at the Rock Show will showcase Maroulis’ interpretations of some of the greatest rock songs of all time. The singer will also be backed by a live, all-star band.
Maroulis’ Broadway credits include Rock of Ages and The Wedding Singer. Off-Broadway, he originated the role of Drew in Rock of Ages and enjoyed a long run with the critically acclaimed Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris. The actor was also a guest regular on the daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful and appears frequently on TV’s American Idol Extra.
Maroulis is best known off the Broadway scene as a finalist on American Idol’s Season 4, becoming one of the first contestants to prominently feature rock in his performances. In addition to his own self titled album, Maroulis has appeared on “Killer Queen,” a tribute album in honor of the iconic band Queen, as well as releases with his former band, Pray for the Soul of Betty and compilations of American Idol favorites.
