Weekend Watch It: Getting Ready for Glee

OK, look. You kind of have to watch it. When's the last time something as Broadway as Glee has been on network TV? The season kicks off next Wednesday at 9PM on Fox, so if you haven't already, it's time to catch up with the pilot, which made a big splash when it premiered back in May. Spring Awakening's Lea Michele plays a hopeless musical theater high school geek (Missed Lea singing "On My Own" at the Hollywood Bowl last year? She does it again here!) who gets a boost by a new teach, played by Broadway hottie Matthew Morrison of Hairspray, The Light in the Piazza and South Pacific notoriety. So get on board, people. Our weekend watch it is the directors cut version of Episode 1 of Glee.
