Sequels have historically been the kiss of death on Broadway (Hello, Bring Back Birdie!), but we still can't wait to see what Andrew Lloyd Webber has up his sleeve with Love Never Dies, the long-brewing follow-up to The Phantom of the Opera. Like the mad composer that his shows center on, Webber has slowly been releasing information on his latest project in mysterious ways. Case in point: a website just went up with a letter from the Phantom promising a big announcement on October 8th. There's also a terrific video showing beautiful video of The Phantom of the Opera and some historical newsreel footage of the setting of the new piece: Coney Island at the turn of the 20th century. Hey Sir Andrew, let's get this show on the road. We can't friggin' wait!
