Mamet's Race Begins Its Run

Race, written and directed by David Mamet, begins previews at Broadway's Ethel Barrymore Theatre. Starring James Spader, David Alan Grier, Kerry Washington and Richard Thomas, the play involves a firm made up of three lawyers, two black and one white, that is offered the chance to defend a white man charged with a crime against a black young woman.

Race features sets by Tony Award winner Santo Loquasto, lighting design by Brian Macdevitt and costumes by Tom Broecker.
